Norfolk & Western Pullman Standard 4740 Covered Hopper 1969+

This decal set is designed for the outstanding Tangent Scale Models 4740 Covered Hopper. The NW rostered two thousand cars:

NW 173000-173999, Class HC-69, Built February and March, 1969
NW 176000-176999, Class HC-70, Built April, May and June 1970.

Many of these cars continue to serve on the present day NS. This decal set includes all of the data you need to decal one car. I have also included as many of the liner stencils as I am aware of for this series as well as various paint out data, COTS plates, etc for later eras. You provide the ACI lable, if it is appropriate for the era you are modeling.

The HC-69 class have Apex style running boards, while the HC-70 cars have both Apex and Morton style running boards. Photo evidence suggests that first 500 HC-70 cars have Apex, and the final 500 have Morton.
