Illinois Central 100-Ton "New Image" Covered Hoppers 1988+

The Illinois Central unplugged the "G" of the ICG in late 1987, renaming itself back to "Illinois Central." This new slimmed-down railroad got a new paint scheme to go along with its new corporate identity. By 1988, the Centralia IL shops were actively repainting ex-IC, ICG and GM&O 100T covered hoppers cars in the new gray.

This IC scheme would go through small changes over the years as it matured from spartan Roman reporting marks, to the use of the IC logo, to changes in typestyle, and finally to CN graphics and oxide red paint.



This HO Scale decal set includes all data to letter up to three different cars. Excellent starting points for these cars can be found with the Tangent Scale Models PS4740 and PS4750 models.

A detailed decal diagram is included. A black & white printout of the decal set is also included to assist in identificaton and cutting out all those accurate little pieces of data!

This decal set is printed in black, white, red and yellow. It is professionally printed by Cartograf in Italy, the finest producers of water slide decals in the world. Simply put, this is the most accurate IC New Image decal artwork available, period. Life is too short to do it any other way.
