Illinois Central 2 and 3 Bay Open Hopper 1967+

The IC had a varied open hopper fleet through the 60s and 70s, with many cars built new, and others refurbished and/or rebuilt. During this time, many of the cars would receive the new Split Rail logo, introduced in 1967.

In HO Scale, Sunshine Models, Atlas, Athearn, Stewart, and Accurail make 2 and 3 bay hoppers that can be used as starting points to model some of the IC's cars.

A detailed lettering diagram is included. This set includes enough lettering for 1 car and is printed in white. The set also includes some extra lettering for a Wood Chip Service car, to model a car that was modified with height extensions. (See photo below) You provide the ACI label, if it is appropriate for your era; the decal set provides all other lettering.
