Illinois Central GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hoppers 1955+
This decal set can be used to letter IC's extensive fleet of
GATC 2600 cu.ft. Airslide Covered Hoppers. In HO, models from
Athearn, Walthers, Eastern Car Works or Con Cor can be used.
The IC Rostered 196 cars across 8 orders from General American.
The cars were purchased between 1955 and 1963. All of the cars
have gray bodies and ends, and most appear to have black
bays/centersills between the bolsters.
IC 79090-79099 1955 Rectangular Shaker Brackets, Originally
Pneumatic Outlets, later changed to Gravity.
IC 59010-59034 1958 Rectangular Shaker Brackets, Gravity Outlets,
ex-GACX Lease, purchased/repainted IC in 1959.

IC 59060-59084 1960 Rectangular Shaker Brackets, Gravity Outlets

Enough lettering is supplied to letter 3 complete cars. These
cars lasted through the 80s and into the early 90s, over half of
them still in original paint. The last cars disappear in the
early 1990s. (1 car listed in a 1995 ORER...) A thank you goes
