Illinois Central Pullman Standard 4740 Covered Hopper 1969+

The IC quickly expanded its grain hopper fleet in 1969. In September, Pullman Standard delivered a 300 car order. Not finished yet, the IC would accept another 300 in April of 1970. These 600 PS 4740 hoppers were painted in IC Split Rail Orange. The series were numbered 56900-57199 and 765000-765299.

These series lasted through the ICG era, up to at least the year 2000. This decal set includes all of the data you need to decal one car. It is designed to be used with the HO Athearn PS Covered Hopper.

A detailed lettering diagram is included. This set is printed in black and white.

Note: This set now includes slightly "stretched" 8-foot IC emblems to match the ribs of the Athearn PS Covered Hopper. That is why the emblems below appear to be slightly oval in shape. Once laid on the car across the ribs, the oval will take on the normal circle shape. Neat trick, huh?
