GATX Leasing 8000 Gallon Acid Tank Cars 1949+

This decal set contains lettering for General American 8000 Gallon Acid Tank Cars. GATC produced these cars between 1949 and 1960. In HO, a beautiful new model has been released by Tangent Scale Models. The prototype cars are painted black.



This decal set includes various tiny 1" Lessee stencils for Dow Chemical, Olin, Dupont, Stauffer and Diamond Chemicals. The decal set is aimed at the cars built around the 1949-1952 window, since that is what I had a photo of. Some later 50s data is also included on the sheet to keep things interesting for the 50s and 60s modelers.

Enough lettering is supplied to letter three cars.




The decal set is printed in white. A lettering diagram is included.
